It's been a minute since, I've been here and the service and food hasn't changed a bit. Perfection! The street corn was delicious. I thought, I ordered two different arepa's but they just put both meat topping on one and to be honest they were right. Two would have been overkill by eyes were bigger than my stomach. It was a quite Saturday night after a rainstorm and I could have been in a better place.
This is going to be one of my regular spots for sure! Everything about it is so great--from the friendly service to the music to the drinks. Our waiter explained all of our options and then recommended the arepas de choclo and arepas de queso. The choclo is made from corn and was really dense and filling. The queso was similar but there was cheese in the dough, (all my lactose intolerant friends, beware.)
Another highlight was the margaritas. I got the blended passion fruit margarita and my parents got classic margaritas on the rocks and let me tell you... for $12 you are really getting your moneys worth. Get the margarita, get an arepa for yourself and maybe an extra to share if you're extra hungry. You're gonna have a great experience.
Came here looking for good Arepas and this place certainly did it for me! Cute interior and Spanish music in the background. Cute vibes for a bringing a close friend, date, or a small family here too! Friendly and attentive service as well.
Really delicious food:
- Arepa Con Queso (with cheese): The cheese was in the bread as well shredded cheese on top as well - so delicious. Chicken was tender. Sauces on the side (2 aioli sauces, pineapple, and hot sauce) all paired so well.
- Mini beef empanadas (3): Delicious - beef was tender and the sauces also work so well with this too.
Affordable prices. Very unique because had different styles of arepas to try. Definitely want to try other styles next time and get a passion fruit sangria because it looked really good when I was looking at other people drinking their sangrias.
My only con: when I paid with my credit, the receipt gave options on how much to tip, the lowest recommended tip on the receipt was 20% which is a bit high - and I did end up tipping this amount. Otherwise, the entire experience is great and I would come back again!
Second time back at arepa lady and it only gets better!! It was poppin around noon on a weekend and we were lucky we got seats. Service was pretty quick and everything was super fresh and pipping hot. This time we got the guac with the patacones , mini empanadas, and the arepa de choclo with chicharron.
Last time we got the mini empanadas and the arepa de queso which was great but i did wished the arepa was bigger and crispier and this time I got what I wanted! Personally felt like it was bigger in size and I could really taste the corn, it had a subtle sweet taste. The chicharron is divine!!! My bf says it's life changing and thinks about it every other week....
Tip: mix the green and orange bottled sauces with the hot sauce, delicious sauces. If you're extra particular about how restaurants water taste, I'm proud to say their water is delicious, doesn't taste like tap or strange
I had a cheese arepa de choclo and a vegetarian patacon sandwich. I really liked the arepa - I wish there were a few more vegetarian options. The patacon sandwich was alright, maybe a little on the dry side.
The service was great, our waitress was friendly and attentive. The two arepas we got were excellent! We got the chocolo (I probably spelled that wrong). And one with cheese in the dough. I had steak in mine too and yes it was sooooo scrumptious! Great place, worth the trip! The ambiance was cozy and bustling.
We shall go again!

Delicious arepas in a clean, cute restaurant. Service was pleasant and fast. Perfect lunch or casual dinner place.
Stumbled upon this place on a Friday Night and I'm so happy we did! My group of 5 walked in and were seated right away and greeted with amazing service. I love arepas and was excited to have my friends try it. The arepas here are INCREDIBLE and authentic. The sauces were the highlight, my personal favorite is always the green sauce but you can easily just put all three over your meal. The drinks here are very strong and the vibes are just fun all around. Will definitely be back!
